19th century agate cameo set in gold ring. King Arthur. カメオ

18K gold ring, plain hoop with enlarged shoulders. The oval bezel is set with a nice translucent agate cameo, sculpted in high relief, with two brown layers and framed by a simple yellow gold border. The cameo is depicting a medieval style bust of crowned King Arthur, in profile to the left. The carving of the details are very fine and the style of the figure is vigorous.
Perfect condition.
