Roman intaglios and cameos

A 19th century agate cameo of a Maenad. カメオ

A fine oval agate cameo, with two layers (sardonyx : beige and brown calcedony) of very good carving, depicting a classical Maenad playing tambourin. The cameo is set in a nice gold brooch, enhanced with natural pearls and rose-cut diamonds.
Perfect condition.
