Gold and nicolo intaglio roman ring. 2nd century.アンティークリング

A rare gold ring. The hoop expanding upwards to a flattened oval bezel set with a nicolo intaglio engraved with a nude youth holding a sword. It’s the classical representation of the hero Theseus.
Good condition.
Found in the 1950’s in Boisse (Vendée, France)
